Postwar Intramuros and Port Area
The walls were properly repaired and restored during the institution of Intramuros Restoration Commission and the Intramuros Administration. This is how the historic district looked like before all the restorations took place in the late 60’s to the early 80’s. Far from being the tourist spot we see today, Intramuros became an extension of the pier since people built slums and warehouses in the lots. We still have to work more for the full restoration of Intramuros.
